We breath polluted air

Posted: September 27, 2016 in General

Nine out of 10 people globally are breathing poor quality air, The problem is most acute in cities, but air in rural areas is worse than many think, "It is a public health emergency," Fast action to tackle air pollution can’t come soon enough, urging governments to cut the number of vehicles on the road, improve waste management and promote clean cooking fuel.
Indoor pollution can be equally as harmful, especially in poorer developing world homes where cooking often involves burning charcoal. Nearly 90-percent of air pollution-related deaths occur in low and middle-income countries.

Staying indoors on a day when the air is particularly bad accomplishes little.

One of the world’s largest package delivery companies is stepping up efforts to integrate drones into its system.
UPS has partnered with robot-maker CyPhy Works to test the use of drones to make commercial deliveries to remote or difficult-to-access locations.
The companies began testing the drones on Thursday, when they launched one from the seaside town of Marblehead. The drone flew on a programmed route for 3 miles over the Atlantic Ocean to deliver an inhaler at Children’s Island.
The successful landing was greeted by jubilant shouts from CyPhy Works and UPS employees on the island to witness the test.

Joke of the day

Tom and his boss

In the morning Tom calls to his boss:
– Good morning, boss, unfortunately I’m not coming to work today. I’m really sick. I got a headache, stomach ache, and both hands and legs hurt, so I’m not coming into work."
The boss replies:
– You know Tom, I really need you today. When I feel like this I go to my wife, and tell her to give me sex. That makes me feel better, and I can go to work. You should try that.
2 hours later Bob calls:
– Boss, I followed your advise, and I feel great! I’ll be at work soon. By the way, you got nice house.

All morning long I have been trying to read the news off of the Yahoo web site but the blasted ads and redirects during the time I was reading an article has just got me pissed offblogpost, what the hell happened with ad blockers did all those internet guru’s go broke because all those suckers that was born every minute not see their web site? the internet is going backwards not forwards so I guess greed has once again taken over. What all this ads and banner ads do is bog down your browser and some ads are down right hostile and they have added the ability to show ads that you might have browsed while shopping online, now that’s scary and a bit of eves dropping on your privacy Don’t ya think????. Yes we all love shopping online and getting our stuff right at our front doors (I love it) but since we are suppose to be intelligent beings we know which online shopping we like we don’t need to be bomb barded with flashing miss leading ads, but ok a few suggested shopping web site would not be to bad if they was subtle. To sum up my bitches and grips is if your reading an article your page should not just jump over to a ad page so Yahoo you’ve gotten a bit hostile.
